It was the third seditious conspiracy trial stemming from the Jan. I couldn’t put the book down during these pages.Īnd I am still in love with Leigh Bardugo’s writing style (where she gets the balance of just enough detail perfectly, thereby avoiding too much embellished details or too little). 4.5 stars Siege and Storm is an exquisite jewel of a book. 18 hours ago &0183 &32 Jurors on Thursday found former Proud Boys national chairman Enrique Tarrio and three lieutenants guilty of the rarely used Civil War-era charge the most serious offense that has been lodged in the riot.

“ This didn’t live up to Shadow and Bone’s brilliance”īut in saying all that, I did love the first 100-odd pages and the last 100 pages because they were awesome.

Even more annoyingly, Alina attempts to hide and deny who/what she is, which makes for very emotional but exasperating reading. The Darkling wasn’t given nearly as much focus as he should have had, and all Alina and Mal did was moan about their circumstances and their relationship. I also didn’t feel like there was any worthwhile character development in Siege and Storm. By the middle of the book, the pace was sluggish and the writing was repetitive, which left me feeling really frustrated.

I love the Grishaverse, but Siege and Storm was not as awesome as the first book, Shadow and Bone. Leigh Bardugo – Author of Siege and Storm
